Overview

The Faculty of Management and Commerce (FMC) was established with the aim of creating a premier education destination in Asia that would draw scholars, faculty members, professionals, and researchers from across the globe.

FMC offers a competency-based management and commerce education that is delivered using global best practices. These include the use of case study based teaching, simulations, experiential learning, and a strong focus on research.

The Faculty encourages a multidisciplinary approach to education. The curriculum is student-centric and promotes critical thinking, creative problem solving, and a lifelong passion for learning.

Students are taught by faculty members from reputed national and international universities. With years of valuable industry experience themselves, they are dedicated to ensuring that students are market-ready. They routinely organise seminars, workshops, and talks with industry professionals.

Faculty members and students are also actively encouraged to pursue research in the areas of business management and commerce. They work together to jointly publish research in ABDC and SCOPUS listed-journals. They are also urged to provide training and consultancy services to address the problems faced by the industry. As mentors, faculty members guide students on their academic and professional journeys.

The Faculty of Management and Commerce strives to forge relationships with international universities and colleges. This paves the way for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and resources. It also offers students global internship opportunities.

FMC has also adapted to the latest in online learning with MS Teams Online Classes and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC).

To ensure a smooth transition to the corporate world, the Faculty offers placement support. Students can also avail the support and guidance of the Ramaiah Technology Business Incubator for their entrepreneurship ventures.
