Overview
Operations Management deals with transformation process of input resources into goods or services. An Operations Manager deals with devising strategies, designing processes, planning and controlling of scarce resources. Managing operations for diverse organisations is becoming complex. In the era of Industry 4.0, availability of high quality human talent to manage operations is viewed as a competitive advantage. Moreover, organisations are strategically moving their operations closer to their end markets in order to reduce costs and risks.
Bengaluru in Karnataka is home to many world class reputed national and multinational companies along with a large number of medium and small scale industries. To grow, these organisations require, during the next decade, a large number of operations personnel and managers with a postgraduate degree in management.
