Overview
Human Resource Management (HRM) deals with responsibilities, functions, behaviors and importance of employees. The world has become a global community making it possible for Human Resource (HR) to move across boundaries. More and more people are working for global organisations and the labour force is becoming more culturally diverse and firms have to compete at a global level. Hence, management of human resources is increasingly becoming crucial.
In the era of Industry 4.0, there is an unprecedented demand for talented and trained human resources. To meet this demand, the Faculty of Management and Commerce at M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) offers post graduate degree programme in M.B.A. (Human Resource Management).
Programme Aim: The aim of the programme is to create professional management graduates specialising in human resource management, who are able to identify talent, recruit, train, deploy, continuously motivate and retain the talent to achieve the stated business goals of the organisation.
The Programme covers: concepts and principles of management and human resources, decision making techniques to manage change, analytical understanding of Performance management, Job analysis and Training, HR concepts and strategies for adapting strategic approach in managing people, legal and ethical issues to deal with employee grievances, managing teams for better working in domestic and global environment, relevant software to facilitate critical decisions making in HR, modern employment issues, industrial relations, current global trends and policies that affect personnel decisions teamwork, lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
Coursework includes basic business functions of Management and Human Resources Management followed by Managerial Economics, Manpower Planning, Recruitment and Selection, Business Leadership, Team Dynamics, Compensation and Performance Management, Legal Aspects of HRM (Employee Relations), HR Metrics & Analytics and International HRM.

Admissions
Eligibility
Indian Nationals
- Candidates must have pass in BE, MCom, MSc., BBA, BBM, MA, BCom, BSc, BA, or equivalent grades from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- SC/ST candidates can apply with a lower qualifying mark as per the Government notification
Application Process
Through PGCET
- Students seeking admission are required to appear and qualify the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) in Bangalore (PGCET Code: B348)
- Once selected, students need to fill in the admission form
- Pay the tuition fee
- Submit documents to the University

Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed in equivalent and eligibility equivalence from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
- Candidates should have proof of proficiency in English with a minimum TOEFL score of 8.
Note: Up to 15% of seats are reserved for Foreign/NRI Students.
